UMBRIA DOP
Umbria PDO extra virgin olive oil is obtained from the fruits of the olive tree of the Leccino, Frantoio, Moraiolo, San Felice, Rajo and Dolce Agocia varieties. The denomination must be accompanied by one of the following additional geographical terms: Colli Assisi-Spoleto, Colli Martani, San Felice, Colli Amerini, Colli del Trasimeno, Colli Orvietani.
Olives can be harvested mechanically or manually, by December 31st of each year. The maximum yield of the olives must vary between 17% and 21% in relation to the additional geographical mention.
The production area of Umbria PDO extra virgin olive oil covers the entire territory of the Umbria region.
